Basic Controls / Browser

First up are the basic controls and browser operations. These are actions you’ll do frequently during the track selection and mix-prep stage—like searching for tracks and zooming in/out on the waveform—and since there aren’t many keys to remember, it’s best to master these first.

In particular, “Search in Collection” and “Switch Browser/Deck View” are extremely handy when you want to quickly find the next track using only your PC without taking your hands off your DJ controller, and because you can complete everything without using the mouse, you can keep your set moving and select tracks smoothly without breaking the flow.

Deck Load

These shortcuts let you instantly load the selected track into each deck. Compared to drag-and-drop with the mouse, they reduce misclicks and let you set a track more reliably and quickly, and because they’re assigned around the left/right keys with the “Shift” key at the center, they’re also easy to memorize.

Player Controls (Deck 1 / Left)

The main key operations for controlling the left deck (Deck 1) are assigned to the left five columns of the keyboard. Because of that, it’s a good idea to remember it as “Left deck = operated with the left hand.”

The basics are just four keys—“Z,” “A,” “D,” and “F”—so try them out while playing and memorize them with your body.

Set CUE / Return to CueA
Return to start of trackShift + A
Loop In (start loop)D
Loop Out (end loop)F
Auto Beat Loop On/OffShift + F

Delete Hot Cue (A - E)Ctrl + Shift + 1 - 5

Player Controls (Deck 2 / Right)

The main key operations for controlling the right deck (Deck 2) are assigned to the middle five columns of the keyboard. You can remember it as “Right deck = operated with the right hand,” but since they’re laid out right next to the left deck shortcuts, be careful—until you get used to it, it’s easy to hit the wrong keys.

The key movements are the same as the left deck, so once you’re used to it, you’ll be able to operate it smoothly.
