Movement & Combat Actions
Movement uses the standard PC gaming WASD layout. Sprinting with Left Shift and jumping or deploying your glider with Space follow familiar conventions, making it easy to pick up if you have played PC games before.
Dodging attacks with Left Alt (Dodge/Roll) and setting up stealth takedowns with Left Ctrl (Crouch/Stealth) form the backbone of combat. When exploring the massive open world, toggling Auto-Run with the "=" key helps ease finger strain on long journeys.
Melee combat keeps your mouse busy: Left Click for basic attacks (hold for heavy attacks), Right Click to block, and Middle Click (scroll wheel) to lock onto targets. Because combat is so mouse-intensive, playing with an ergonomic, responsive gaming mouse is just as important as your keyboard.
| Action | Shortcut |
|---|---|
| Move forward in world. Nose up while glided | W |
| Move backward in world. Dive while glided | S |
| Move left in world. Turn left while glided | A |
| Move right in world. Turn right while glided | D |
| Sprint or dash quickly at the cost of stamina | Left Shift |
| Jump in world or deploy/stow glider in mid-air | Space |
| Perform a dodge roll to evade incoming attacks | Left Alt |
| Crouch or squat down to lower profile and sneak | Left Ctrl |
| Toggle default movement speed between walking and running | / |
| Toggle continuous auto-running without holding W | = |
| Perform a light melee attack, or hold for a heavy strike | Left Click |
| Block or raise defense. Slow down while glided | Right Click |
| Lock camera and aim onto the focused target enemy | Middle Click |
Skills & Special Abilities
These abilities are key to Soulmask's unique approach to combat and exploration.
You will rely heavily on Life Perception (Q) to scan for wildlife and resources, alongside weapon-specific Mastery Skills (F) and Class Skills (G).
Make sure to also get comfortable with the Grappling Hook (CapsLock) to scale cliffs and vertical terrain, as well as the mystical Mimicry/Transformation mask abilities (V / C keys) when adapting to tough situations.
Because these ability keybinds are clustered tightly around WASD, building reliable muscle memory for them will take a little practice.
| Action | Shortcut |
|---|---|
| Execute weapon mastery special skill | F |
| Activate mask mimicry or transformation skill | V |
| Use active class specific skill | G |
| キャラクターの強力な必殺・特殊スキルを発動する | X |
| Fire or hold to aim grappling hook for traversal | CAPSLOCK |
| Scan environment to highlight nearby lifeforms and key objects | Q |
| Toggle mask mimicry state and stance | C |
Interface & Hotbar
The Interact key (E) is one of your most frequently used binds, allowing you to harvest items, talk to NPCs, and use workstations.
Keeping the Cancel key (R) in mind is also very handy for interrupting an interaction or canceling a drawn bow.
Because these keys sit right beside WASD and often need to be hit on the move, getting your fingers positioned comfortably can feel a bit tricky at first.
| Action | Shortcut |
|---|---|
| Interact with objects, pick up items, talk or use workbenches | E |
| Abort current interaction or cancel ranged weapon aiming | R |
| Use or equip item assigned to hotbar slot 1 | 1 |
| Cycle selection to previous item on the hotbar | WHEEL_UP |
| Cycle selection to next item on the hotbar | WHEEL_DOWN |
| Call mount to follow or hold to switch character styles | Z |
| Open emote and gesture selection wheel | H |
| Open in-game text chat prompt | Enter |
| Toggle visibility of guidance and tutorial overlays | F9 |
| Toggle detailed status buff and debuff info | F10 |
| Toggle entire HUD interface for clean screenshot mode | + |

Crafting & Inventory Management
These inventory-specific shortcuts make chest organization, crafting, and gear maintenance significantly faster.
While inside a storage chest, pressing "Q" immediately deposits matching items from your bag (Quick Stack). You can also hit "G" to Deposit All, or "T" to Withdraw All in a single click.
Taking advantage of "F" for batch repairs and crafting, "V" to dismantle unwanted gear, and "S" to split stacks will spare you the hassle of dragging and dropping items one by one.
Once you have these inventory shortcuts down, managing your settlement's loot will feel second nature.

| Repair all items or produce maximum crafting queue | F |
| Dismantle or salvage crafted item back into raw materials | V |
| Divide selected item stack into smaller portions | S |
| Quickly move matching items between player and chest | Q |
| Drop selected item onto the ground or destroy it | X |
